The Supporting Healthy Marriage Evaluation: Interim Impacts on Low-Income Families
OPRE released an interim impact report from the Supporting Healthy Marriage (SHM) evaluation. This evaluation involves eight demonstration programs across the country that provided services under the SHM model, which included marriage and relationship education sessions and support services. Over 6,000 low-income couples enrolled in the study. The interim report presents 12-month impacts of the SHM demonstrations on a range of measures such as couples’ relationship status and quality, positive and negative interactions, co-parenting and psychological well-being. The project is being conducted by MDRC and its subcontractors, Abt Associates, Child Trends, Optimal Solutions Group, and Public Strategies, Inc.
