Future of Children

Helping Fragile Families

The Future of Children, a widely-respected and oft-quoted project of the Brookings Institution and Princeton University, will be hosting an event on October 27 focused on fragile families. The event will also serve as the formal release of the new Future of Children journal devoted exclusively to nonmarital childbearing.  The issue reports on the problems that fragile families often face and offers policy recommendations designed to help these families. National Campaign Board President Isabel Sawhill contributes a chapter to the new journal, and Board member Ron Haskins will moderate the event.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 27 between 9 am and 11am at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC.  Click here to register for the meeting.  Click here to read the journal devoted to fragile families.
